Diyarbakir!

After a zombie-fying TWENTY-HOUR BUS TRIP (including a mad dash to buy a visa at the border, finding a New Jersey-an at a rest stop, and passing through Hasankeyf), I am in Diyarbakir! I’ll try to post when I find a computer, but I’ll be inconsistent at best.

I definitely didn’t plan this trip as well as I should have, but we’re going to try and make it work! Already I know a few helpful words of Turkish and I know how to pronounce the modified Latin script, thank goodness. I’m at a friend’s house in Diyarbakir. We had dolma tonight for dinner and went exploring a bit.

Really enjoying myself, and I am thrilled at the prospect of not going back to work for two and a half weeks!

I don’t know what I’m getting myself into, hopefully it’ll be good!
